_Location_
The meeting will take place in the beautiful UNESCO’s world heritage city of Morelia, Mexico, hosted by the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo.
_Direction_
Lectures will take place in the Centro Cultural Universitario , a historial building in the city centre of Morelia._Where to Stay_
We expect to be able to cover accommodation for most workshop participants. Confirmed participants will be contacted for suitable arrangements._Schedule_
The main idea of the workshop is to connect different researchers interested in the problem of timelike boundaries in gravity from different perspectives. As such, we are planning for a highly-interactive workshop, with lots of time for discussion and informal interactions between the participants. Each day there will be a set of formal talks covering the different topics.
We expect to discuss the following topics: Foundations of gravity with boundaries, edge effects in gravity, quantum gravity in finite regions of spacetime, holography with finite timelike boundaries, and numerical relativity with timelike boundaries.
_Talk titles_
_Monday_
Anderson: Finite boundaries in classical gravity.
Lau: Regularization of gauge-preserving boundary conditions for the helically reduced Einstein equations.
_Tuesday_
Vukasinac: Canonical vs. covariant: First order gravity in regions with boundaries.
